Emergency Lighting Kits to Operate 12 Volt Tungsten Halogen Lamps in the Event of a Power Failure

DC Emergency Systems Ltd offer the Economy range of lower power systems, using sealed recombination lead acid batteries. The SLA uses the 5-year design life battery. Tables below show the standard ranges but these can be augmented with alternative batteries and durations if required.

Specification
Input: 230 Volts + 10% - 6%, 50 Hz single-phase, 380/415 Volts 50Hz, three-phase (Three-phase input comes with phase failure relays as standard)

Output: Standard nominal system voltages of 12 and 24 volts (Maintained AC/DC and Non-Maintained DC)

Charger Output Regulation: Charger output voltage is controlled to within +/- 2%, irrespective of AC mains supply variation of +/- 10% and charger output from 0 to 100%. Maximum charger ripple is limited to a maximum of 2% rms of the system.

Recharge Time: Chargers rated to provide 80% recharge within 14 hours and full charge in 24 hours following a full rated discharge as defined in BS5266

Transformers: Double wound, earth screened between primary and secondary to BS171.

Contactors: Mains failure Contactor to BS5424 Part 1 fitted as standard equipment. Contactor to BS764 are available upon request at extra cost (Cubicle sizes will vary with this option.

Load: Standard ratings as shown in the performance table. For loads in excess of those shown please refer to manufacturer.

Fuse gear: Comply with the general requirements of BS88 Part 2; 1975 mainly being of the industrial H.R.C type in withdrawable carriers.

Low Volts Disconnect: Is included to protect the battery against deep discharge caused by prolonged mains or cyclic power cuts.

Cubicles: Fabricated from thick zinc coated mild steel of folded construction to provide maximum strength and rigidity. Paint finish is stove enamel epoxy gloss, which accommodates both the charging equipment and the batteries.

Standard Controls: Neon indicated Mains on and off switch and battery voltage indicator.
